Discord Roulette

Welcome to Discord Roulette - a game where you live or disconnect.

Discord Roulette uses the bot functionnalities from Discord. You need to create a discord bot (no coding & free) to use this game.

The game goes as follow:

> A person plays the host. He will stream the game to others to see the progression.

> A russian roulette follows. If the gun fires, the person gets eliminated and kicked out of the voice channel. (ban and kick features coming next update)

Prerequesties:

> .NET 6.0 Runtime

> NodeJS

> A discord bot (tutorial> not mine , recommended to make the bot Administrator)

(MAKE SURE TO HAVE PRESENCE INTENT, SERVER MEMBERS INTENT AND MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT ENABLED !!)

> A special role with the name of your choice

Installation:

> Once you have the bot on your discord server, create a new role. Name it whatever you want, but make sure to keep it simple and so that you can put it later. (ex: Master)

> Extract the DiscordRoulette.rar somewhere on your computer.

> Open RouletteGame.exe and follow the instructions

> The ROLE_NAME is the name of the role you made previously. MAKE SURE YOU TYPE THE EXACT SAME NAME

Usage:

> Open RouletteGame.exe and follow the setup instructions (one time)
> Once the game shows up, start a discord stream on the game.
> On your discord server, go to a text channel and use the command /create with the voice channel you want the players to be. (Make sure you have the good permissions and the good roles)

> The bot will reply to you with a game code (ex: roulette-party). Type this in your game.

> You can now start the game! You can also exclude specific players from the game if they don't want to participate.
